Treasures in a Closet

I have been digging through our things for a while, now, simply trying to find items that should be easy to locate. Instead of throwing out junk mail or old papers, I just re-stack them and have to sort through them again. Not smart. I am finally taking the time to sort and organize. I found a treasure in the middle of it all! I ran across some giclee prints that I had printed a few years ago! ....

Still in the original packaging, straight from the printer.  These are now listed in my online store - ArtbyTrishJones.com

In other less pleasant news, I lost my Dad this past week - on my birthday. He was 76, but had been in poor health for the past six months. Losing loved ones is no fun, that is for sure.

We found lots of great pictures of him from when he was small (more treasures!). I am so thankful my grandfather took lots of pictures.

He was on the Clemson football team back in the early 1960's. He passed away one hour after Clemson won the National Championship last week. We thought that was pretty timely.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-14
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
What do workers gain from their toil?  I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race.  He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God. I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that people will fear him.

Happy New Year!

I hope you are off to a great start to 2017! My Christmas decor is still up and we are recovering from the flu. I will admit, though, my body needed the rest I was able to get with these sick days. No guilt taking a nap when you feel horrible, that is for sure!

If you follow me on Instagram or facebook, you may have already seen my collection of paintings from 2016. Here they are as a collage....

I had a busy year! Thank you for all of your support and encouragement! It is truly amazing how just a simple "like" or comment from the virtual world can be the "pat on the back" I need to start on a new canvas. I pray that you will receive encouragement in your endeavors, as you have so sweetly encouraged and blessed me.

Also, here is the photo we included inside our Christmas cards, this year....

May your New Year be Happy!!

Christmas Cards are in Stock!

My Christmas cards are boxed and ready to go! Finally! Could I take any longer?
Sold in packs of 10 or as individuals - check out my Etsy store to purchase. These can also be purchased locally at Madison Markets, Pure Bliss Spa, Madison Drugstore (Madison, Georgia), or PlainJane Designs in Athens, Georgia.

Those Santa cards above are 5"x7" and are blank inside.

This next cute one is 5"x7" and is a flat card - no inside - but, you can write your long, detailed brag letter about how perfect your family is on the back side, and sign your name on the front (you know I am teasing).

Five choices this year....

That card is also 5"x7" and has a "pearl" finish on each page. The inside of that one looks like this....

The square cards have a cute gingham pattern on the back and are 5"x5".

All of my cards are printed on high quality paper by a professional printing company. They are substantial cards with a nice finish.

Have a nice day!

Little Church in the Pecan Grove

As most of you know, I adore sweet little country churches. Here are two I created over the weekend.

12"x12" acrylics on cradled wooden panel

Sweet Little Crisp Barn

I had an abstract painting in my studio that I didn't really like. So, I painted a barn over it.

Now, I love it!

Hope your November has started off fairly well!!
